World Rugby’s 2018/19 Sevens Series moves to Hong Kong this weekend and it has always been one of the top tournaments for years now.
There are q6 teams competing in the series event this weekend and as normal it will be in-front of a sold out stadium.
The USA are still leading the pack on the overall log with New Zealand and Fiji following them closely.
After their win in Canada South Africa has moved into the forth spot and will be looking to do back to back tournament wins.
This year it is very important were you end up at the end of the season because the first four teams will directly qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
In Pool A we see South Africa has Scotland, Samoa and Japan.
Pool B have France, Argentina, Canada and Portugal.
Pool C sees New Zealand, Fiji, Australia and Hong Kong.
In the final Pool D the log leaders USA are with England, Wales and Spain.
All the matches will be live on SS2 for both days.
The Blitzboks had another setback when Zain Davids had to withdraw from the squad due to a shoulder injury. He picked up the injury during training and will be replaced by Chris Dry. This means that James Murphy will now be the 13th man for the weekend.
