Pumas with bonus point start against Blue Bulls


The Pumas got their first win of the new season when they beat the Blue Bulls 29-21 in the SuperSport Rugby Challenge match on Friday.

The Pumas was first on the board with a try from Devon Williams with Chris Smith adding the two points to give them a 7-0 lead.

The Blue Bulls hit back with a few penalties from the boot of JT Jackson which gave them a 9-7 lead at the break.

The Pumas looked more organised and they hit back twice in the second half with tries from Willie Engelbrecht and Francois Kleinhans.

Scoreboard pressure is important and the home side made sure that they kept it ticking over.

There was another try form Alwayno Visagie before the Blue Bulls got two late tries by Jackson and Cornal Hendricks.

It was not enough with the Pumas taking a bonus point win at home.
