The Lions was dealt another blow in a season where they had already had so many injuries. On Monday the Lions released a statement saying that Kwagga Smith is most likely to be out for the rest of the Super Rugby season.
This means that he will not be considered for the important match against the Bulls this weekend as most of the South African sides are still fighting for those wild cards spots in the playoffs.
Smith left the field on Saturday against the Hurricanes with hamstring injury and wafter some scans done on Monday it was determined that it is a grade 2 hamstring injury.
This type of injury will make him available for the Lions in the rest of the Super Rugby competition.
The Lions will also be without Lewies who was a late injury before the Hurricanes match, against the Bulls. Adding to list of players unavailable this weekend is prop Sithole.
He will only be available for the Lions if they make it through to the playoffs.
