It will be a repeat of last years final when Griquas take on the Pumas in the 2019 SuperSport Rugby Challenge.

Both sides advanced to the final after beating Western Province and Boland respectively.

Griquas played in the first semi final against Province and converted a 21-11 halftime lead to a 50-21 win.

Griquas just had too much in the tank for the Cape side outscoring them with seven tries to two.

The first half was more even and it was Griquas that got off to a good start when wing Brandt scored after two minutes.

Province did hit back with Barry that got over the whitewash but Griquas was always in control.

The second half also started with Griquas scoring two quick tries.

Province did pulled back a try through Valentyn but Griquas came back with three more tries which just put the game beyond Province.

It was an impressive performance and this setup a great final against the Pumas.

The Pumas showed why they are favourites to retain the title they won last year against Griquas when they put a strong second half performance together to beat Boland 57-32.

The were just too good for Boland scoring nine tries to the two of Boland.

Boland started well with the opening score through a penalty but that started the onslaught from the Pumas.

Isbell got over in the 7th minute before Engelbrecht scored his try three minutes later.

Boland hit back with a penalty but it was counter with another try from the Pumas. The home side led 31-16 at the break and did not let up in the second half.

The final will be played on the 23 June (Sunday). In the regular season the Pumas beat Griquas 38-27 but the men from Kimberley will want to turn the table on that result and last years final.
