The Brumbies ended their regular season with a great win over the Reds as they already had qualified for the playoffs as the Australian conference winner.
They beat the Reds 40-27 in Canberra on Saturday to end a great season and also emerge as the only Aussie side to make this playoffs this year.
They will take on one of the South African sides as far as the log standings go at home next week.
Yellow cards stopped any believe the Reds had in winning this one with the first by Taniela Tupou who made a late high hit on Christian Lealiifano. The second yellow card came just before the break when a penalty try was awarded to he home side and Scott Higginbotham got a extended 10 minute break.
The Reds raced into the lead but that yellow card to Tupou not just left them with one less player but also cancelled a try for the men in red.
Just after the yellow card the Brumbies scored their first try with Muirhead going over.
From here on end the Brumbies controlled the game and run in six tries with the penalty try they got before the break.
The Reds did not give up at all and scored three tries of their own but was really outplayed by a more confident Brumbies side who just do things with ease on attack and defence.
The Brumbies will be an outside bet for the championship and a team to look out for in the playoffs.
