Bulls loose Smit but get Ismaiel back

The Bulls will be without Roelof Smit after he suffered a head injury against the Rebels last weekend.

With Smit absence they did get some good news that Trevor Ismaiel and Nick de Jager will be ready.

Ismaiel has been out of action with a back strain and de Jager with a rub injury.

The Bulls will face the Highlanders this weekend at Loftus

  1. I thought they were getting Koch?

With a bit of depth – this bulls team gonna be v hard to beat tuis.

Still dunno if I’d pick LdJ as a Bok lock in test matches, but he and RJ Smyman are looking good at the bulls. But I get the feeling that LdJ tends to cruise once he gets the praises – Mitchell won’t allow that. He sacked the great Christian Cullen ffs. That was madness.

  2. He was David, last year as well, or close to it before his injury. He needs to learn to time his goes for the ball better, saving his body a bit. At the moment he seems to go for every possible steal, and he takes the knocks for it.

A reshuffle in the loose forwards, reshuffle in frontrow. I hope this doesn’t mean a long Saturday for the Bulls this saturday. On another point, I’ve never seen Bholi before this season, but apparently he has been good for a while. Certainly makes dominant tackles, he has been just what we needed to balance out our loose trio

  3. @Aldo: Just needs to watch those hands. Cost three penalties on Saturday for not timing competition on the ball right.

Highlanders should be a good game.

Not sure they missed Travis to be honest…

  4. @Aldo:

Bholi is having a break-out season.. but he is no open-sider and I can name at least a dozen better blind-siders than him…

    Issssssshmaiel who?
