IRB having another hard look at the laws

An IRB laws project group convened at Stellenbosch to undertake a critical review of the tackle, ruck and maul laws with a view to trial and evaluate new versions. Looking back at the inconsistencies in the way the laws are applied, it is none too soon.

Lack of black referees angers Stofile

SARU vice-president Mike Stofile is angered and disappointed at the lack of opportunity being given to black referees in the forthcoming Super 14, Vodacom Cup and Amateur Provincial Competition. He is quoted as saying, “The future of referees is for whites and not for blacks.”
