The Xerox Golden Lions beat Tafel Lager Griquas to advance to this years Currie Cup final.
They were just to clinical on the day for the men from Kimberley beating them 34-19.
Although Griquas put first pressure on the Golden Lions it was the Lions that showed a bit more with the ball in hand.
They were first to score after a brilliant run by Madosh Tambwe who showed off his power to crash over the line.
This gave the home side the first points and the lead early on.
Griquas hit back with a try from Chris Smit after a penalty kick hit the upright which they gathered and put through a few phases to get over the line.
It was then Stean Pienaar from the Lions who got his try after some slick handling form the home side to take the lead again 14-7 after 16 minutes.
Both sides showed some great vision on attack as they let the ball do the work through the hands.
Two quick penalties from Griquas made it a one point game again with the Golden Lions leading 14-13 after 30 minutes.
The Lions ended the first half with a great try from Hacjivah Dayimani sprinting down the field to give them a 21-13 lead.
The second half both sides had plenty of opportunities but great defence from both sides stop them in their tracks.
A few penalties move the scoreboard along to but it was the try from Marnus Schoeman that sealed it for the Lions.
At the end the Golden Lions used their chances better and deserve the win to advance to the final against either Free State or the Sharks.
