The Toyota Free State Cheetahs beat the Cell C Sharks at home to host the Xerox Golden Lions in the final.
It was a late burst from the home side again as the game was still in the balance with 12 minutes to go but at the end they got the win 51-30.
The Sharks had the start they wanted scoring the first try within two minutes from kickoff when Bosch went over.
That put the home side on the back foot but they did get three back with a penalty to make the score 7-3 after 5 minutes.
The home side got their first try from some great vision form Pienaar finding the man outside.
A penalty soon after extend the lead to 11-7 before Sanele Nohamba showed some magic snipping through the Free State defence.
This gave the visitors a 12-11 lead.
The Sharks Curwin Bosch extended the lead to 15-11 after a penalty from some good pressure being put on the home side.
The Sharks still had another try in them when Fassi put Mvovo in space to get another try and a lead of 20-11 at halftime.
Bosch slotted over a penalty to start the scoring in the second half as they pull away from the home side.
The Free State hit back with a try when they were able to keep the ball in hand to give Small-Smith the chance to power over the line.
The reduce the Sharks lead to 23-16.
Blommetjies then showed some magic creating two opportunities with the Cheetahs scoring two tries to first draw level with Small-Smith try and then take the lead with Joseph Dweba try.
The Sharks drew level again with a great piece of work from Bosch when he found plenty of space to run through for his second try of the match.
This made the scores level again at 30-all with 12 minutes to play.
Free State did not took long before taking the lead again when Pokemela powered over the line to give the home side the lead again.
The Free State just step up a gear as they got another one with Ox this time getting over.
This extend the lead for the home side to 44-30.
Free State was not done as Wiese was at the end of another great attack with the ball going through the hands and the Sharks not having the defence to stop them.
The Sharks tried all they can but could not get any other points.
The game ended with the Cheetahs winning the right to host the final against the Golden Lions.
