The Stormers was just too good for the Southern Kings when they beat them on Saturday with 41-10.
The Kings started the game with ball in hand but moved backwards through some great defense from Stormers putting allot of pressure on them.
Playing in Stormers half the Kings forced a penalty to took the early lead of 3-0 after 7 min. The Stormers had a good break and only a turnover from Cloete stopped them from scoring the first try.
Cronje manage to control the game and put the Kings in the right areas of the field in the first 10 min.
It took a great pass from Du Preez to Leyds that ran down the line to get pass some ordinary defense from the Kings to score the first try of the match.
The things heated up a bit with the referee that had to step in but nothing much than a penalty to the Kings.
The game did not get going really with both teams fighting it out from one side to another and it was Basson at the end of a break to score the Stormers second try of the match and a lead of 12-3.
The Stormers slowing started to dominated the play and had more ball to play with but the Kings defense did hold most of these attacks.
With the domination, the Stormers played more and more with their forwards getting over the advantage line and were able to keep ball in hand to send Elstadt over in the corner for their third of the match.
This gave the Stormers a 17-3 at the break and in control over the match.
The Stormers took only four minutes to break the Kings defense again through Du Plessis and it was Du Preez at the end who went over.
The Kings got their first try through Mapimpi after a perfect kick through from Cronje. This made the score 24-10 for the Stormers.
The Stormers still made more of the play and had the better of the field position as well but Kings defense was good at times to keep them out.
SP Marais got the perfect gap and send Phillips over for another Stormers try with 5 min to play and made the score 34-10.
There was still time for one more score by the Stormers as Viljoen ended the match and the a good win for the Stormers with 41-10.
