The Blues finally got a win over the Chiefs for the first time since 2011 when they beat them at home 23-8 on Saturday
The Blues started well putting the Chiefs under pressure from the start and was camping out on their line but mistakes stopped them from getting any points.
The Chiefs almost scored from a mistake by Blues which saw them kick down field and forcing the Blues to carry the ball over the line for a five meter scrum.
Well the Chiefs made the same mistakes as the Blues close to the line and the Blues where able to exit.
Opportunist try came from Karpik after he followed the kick in from Nanai-Seturo. This gave the visitors a 5-0 lead.
Plummer finally got over for the Blues after they turned the ball over to make the scores 5-all.
The Chiefs took not long to take the lead again with a penalty to make it 8-5.
The Blues got into the lead after Melani Nanai crashed over in the corner to give the Blues the lead going into the break 10-8.
The Blues extended their lead with a timely try by Tu’ungafasi which put them beyond one score with 18 minutes to go.
Yet again the Chiefs had to come from behind to win a game.
The Chiefs tried all they can but just could not get over the Blues line and the Blues ended the match with Cowley-Tuioti crashing over after the hooter for a 23-8.
