It was the Highlanders that got the first win of the season coming from behind with only 14.
It was Aaron Smith late try that gave the visitors the win after they were behind on the scoreboard for most of the match.
At halftime the Highlanders was trailing 19-10 with the Chiefs in control of the match.
The Highlanders dominated the start of the match and was unlucky when their first try was disallowed by the TMO.
The first try was eventually scored by the Parkinson after Hammington got through the Chiefs defence.
The Chiefs hit back when Ardron broke from the scum to get over the line.
They hit the lead with a perfect kick and chase by Bailyn Sullivan to setup Taavao-Matau for the home side second try.
The Chiefs got over again with Nanai-Seturo going down the touchline.
He got his second try in the second half gathering Leger’s cross-field kick.
The Highlanders stayed in touch with Frizell try with only 30 minutes to go.
Tomkinson got a red card for a shoulder charge on Retallick but even with that the Highlanders kept the pressure and Aaron Smith broke Chiefs supporters with his late try.
