The Reds did all the play after the Chiefs did not exit well and put 19 phases together to get Angus Scott-Young over the line.
The TMO came in and decided there was a double movement and NO TRY which gave the Chiefs the chance to exit.
The Chiefs then got their backs going and got over the line in the corner but again TMO did not agree judging the ball was dropped over the line.
The Chiefs kept the pressure on the Reds and after a turnover the Reds kicked down field which gave Pita Gus Sowakula the space to stretch his legs and get over the line for the first try.
The Reds had opportunities and eventually got on the board with a penalty to reduce the lead to 7-3.
The Chiefs immediately answer with their second try which extended the lead again to 12-3.
Both sides showed that they want to go through the phases to get over the line and the Reds was denied another try which was again judges a double movement.
They did get a penalty over for some reward to reduce the lead again to 12-6.
With halftime approaching, the Chiefs again put some phases together and got their third try just before the end of the half which gave them a good lead of 19-6 at the break.
The Reds was first to score in the second half and crept closer to the Chiefs when Taniela Tupou crashed over the line. This reduce the lead of the Chiefs to only 19-13 with 15 minutes to go.
The Reds put in a massive effort in the last ten minutes but the Chiefs just stood up in defence to hold on to the win of 19-13.
