As per the norm when it comes to South African teams these days, the Stormers could not put two good performances together two weeks in a row.
The Brumbies got a away win on Saturday at Newlands when they came on top of yet another poor game of rugby.
There were two points in it at the end but neither side really deserved to win this game.
The poor crowd that came out to Newlands sums up the state of the game at the moment really.
The Brumbies opened the scoring in the seventh minute of the game to take an early lead.
The Stormers answered back with a penalty from Stander before the Brumbies went over for their second try.
From here on till the end of the half the Stormers camped in the Brumbies twenty two.
The next twenty odd minutes was a combination of poor game management with no attacking plan at all.
The home side thought they got over with Moerat but the TMO called them back for a knock-on in the lead-up to the try.
The Stormers had plenty of opportunities to add to the scoreboard but decided on multiple scrums and lineouts which went nowhere.
The first half ended in extraordinary fashion with the half-time whistle being overturned after a surging run by Jantjies was illegally ended by a high tackle from Toni Pulu.
The players had to return to the field, however, and after what seemed like an eternity the TMO awarded the Stormers a penalty try, as it finally ended 12-10 to the Brumbies at the break.
The Stormers did take the lead when they got over again after again camping in the Brumbies half of the field.
The Brumbies retook the lead with a classic backline move and Tom Banks finishing it off.
The rest of the game went nowhere fast as the Stormers tried to get points but just were not able to finish any of their attacks.
The Brumbies will take the win but neither teams will be too happy with what they put on the field.
For the Stormers it is another loss and next week the Bulls are coming to town.
