The DHL Stormers played some great rugby on Friday to secure a bonus point win over the Jaguares.
It was not all perfect but when they clicked they looked very good with the 35-8 win.
The Stormers looked full of running bit so did the Jaguares as we got used to from the South Americans.
Both teams had chances early on with the Jaguares getting over for the first try through Bautista Delguy. That gave them a 5-0 lead as the conversion was not over.
The Stormers got enough ball in the Jaguares half but it was met with solid defence. They eventually forced a penalty which SP Marais kicked over for their first points of the match.
The Stormers kept the pressure on the Jaguares through an attacking scrum. Jean-Luc du Plessis put a short kick in the Jaguares twenty two which his cousin Dan picked up to go over for the Stormers first try.
The Jaguares were in the Stormers twenty two for some time but the Stormers defence was solid. They did however gave a penalty away for a high tackle which reduced the score to 10-8.
Although both had opportunities, only the Stormers added two more penalties before halftime to make the lead 16-8 at the break.
Although they were under pressure at the start of the second half the Stormers manage to scramble well and found themselves with an attacking lineout in the Jaguares side of the field.
From a great drive Kolisi broke away to get over for the first try of the second half and lead of 23-8.
The Stormers again made some massive tackles to keep the Jaguares out and they quickly moved into the Jaguares half again with an attacking lineout.
With some great driving from the lineout again the ball came out to Jantjies who snapped over for another try by the Stormers.
This gave them a comfortable lead of 30-8 with 20 minutes to go.
The Stormers seemed to control the game much better and was led by a brilliant performance from their captain Kolisi.
Their defence was good and the Jaguares struggled to put phases together.
With the Stormers dominating the set pieces they found themselves again in the Jaguares twenty two from which Phillips dived over for their bonus point try.
The Jaguares did not had answer for the Stormers defence.
It was a great win for the Stormers as they picked up a bonus point which will be handy going on tour now.
