    Recap

The Chiefs put themselves right back into contesting for the playoffs when they outscored the Rebels by nine tries to one on Friday.

With the win they got the bonus point win that they needed and ending the regular season off with some great form.

The game started with both teams looking a bit nervous on attack as they were feeling each other out.

It took a good 13 minutes for the Chiefs to show us their class with one of the tries that will be surely one of the season running the ball from their own half to send Cane over for the first try of the match.

This gave the visitors a 7-0 lead. The Rebels got 3 back with a penalty but then the mistakes came that cost them dearly.

From two turnovers the Chiefs punished the Rebels with two converted tries which left them wondering how they are 21-3 behind.

This left them with a massive effort to be put in the second half to pull this game back and kept their hopes alive for a playoff place.

The Chiefs came out firing in the second half scoring three tries within the first 12 minutes of the second half. Again this came from poor decision making from the Rebels as they handed possession over to a dangerous Chiefs side.

The Chiefs kept control of the ball and put the Rebels under huge pressure as they got another one over the line with some ordinary defence from the home side.

This gave the Chiefs a 47-3 lead after 60 minutes.

The Rebels finally got a try on the board when a bad kick from the Chiefs was turned around by the Rebels with Matt Philip throwing a great dummy to sprint to the line.

This reduce the lead to 47-8 with10 minutes to go but the Chiefs came back with another two tries which also gave Stevenson his hat-trick on the night.

At the end the Chiefs just demolish the Rebels in their own back yard to take a 59-8 win which put them in the playoffs.

        4. Chiefs take the bonus point win over the Rebels, totally outplayed them and again the Rebels come up short to make the playoffs, this means only one Aussie side in the playoffs #REBvCHI
