    Sunwolves v Emirates Lions (Result)




    Lions was just too good for Sunwolves when the got a bonus point win in Singapore beating the Sunwolves 37-24

    It was a frustrating first forty minutes for the Lions and more so for their fans as they got a few calls against them.

    The Sunwolves was first on the board with a penalty try which resulted in Sylvian Mahuza being send off with a yellow card.

    The Lions was not lying back and were had more of the ball and were playing in the right areas of the field as well.

    They got their first try when Marx was at the end of a brilliant drive to even the scores to 7-all.

    The Sunwolves went unpunished as they were illegally entering almost every ruck trying to clean out players.

    Marx were great on the ground and made two critical steals. He was leading from the front.

    The Lions got their second try also from Marx and also from a lineout drive to take them into the lead 12-7.

    This was also the score the two teams went into the break.

    The Lions were first to score in the second half when Groom went over from another drive to take the score to 17-7.

    The Lions seemed to have better control over the game and were doing most of the play.

    The Lions got their forth try when Jantjies sold a dummy to power over. This came after another penalty that the Sunwolves gave away.

    The Lions extended their lead with some brilliant play from Aphiwe Dyantyi who broke straight through with Mapoe who finished it all off

    The Sunwolves hit back with a seven pointer of their own to reduce the score again only 29-17 with 13 minutes to go.

    The Lions extended again the lead with a penalty from Jantjies to take the score to 32-17.

    The Lions were in control from here on end as the Sunwolves faded out in every aspect of the game just hanging on to their tackles.

    The Lions got a last try from Hacjivah Dayimani to get their score to 37-17 before the Sunwolves got a consolation try at the end.

    That made the final score 37-24 and the Lions going away from Singapore with bonus point win.
