On a wet field the Waratahs moved into a quick six point lead with two penalties. They looked very composed early on.
Both teams tried to keep ball in hand although the wet conditions which made handling very difficult. All point to a very difficult game for both teams and a close contest.
With early pressure being put on the Force by the Waratahs they let the Force back into the game and their half.
The Tahs also lost a man to the bin for collapsing the drive of the Force twice which gave the Force the opportunity for the first try.
This gave the Force the lead of 7-6 after 30 min.
The Waratahs got straight back into Force half and forced a penalty to take the lead back after 33 min with 9-7.
The Force did not wait long to get a penalty over themselves to take the lead back again 10-9.
The Force were able to get another penalty over and at the break they led 13-9.
The second half was all Waratahs as they scored their first try early on in the second half and got the lead back with 16-13 after 46 min.
With the lead the Waratahs showed better control on the ball and put themselves in better positions to attack from.
The Force did manage to start coming back into the match playing for longer periods in the Waratahs half of the field.
The Force got a yellow card late in the game and gave another penalty to the Tahs but they missed that and won the game 19-13.
