The Free State Cheetahs has confirm on Tuesday that they have added four new players for the Guinness PRO14 season starting in a couple of weeks.
Utility back, Rhyno Smith, the loose-forward, Chris Massyn, centre, Chris Smit, and the hooker, Wilmar Arnoldi are all now with the Cheetahs
It is great news for the Cheetahs as they get the versatile Rhyno Smith back. Smith played for the NWU Pukke in the Varisty Cup and for the Leopards in the Currie Cup first devision.
He was on loan for the Cheetahs in the previous season.
Massyn will join the Cheetahs on a two year deal from Province. Massyn led Maties to the 2019 Varisty Cup title.
He also led Tuks to their Varsity Cup title in 2017 and played for the Blue Bulls and Boland
Chris Smit joins the franchise form Griquas in the same year he won the Varsity Cup with Maties.
He can play in the midfield and at flyhalf was named the 2019 Varsity Cup Player of the Tournament.
Wilmar Arnoldi also join the Cheetahs from Griquas on a two year deal. Arnoldi was a star in the NWU Pukke side and also represented the Leopards in the Currie Cup.
All four players will link up with the Cheetahs after the Currie up.
