The Stormers have received some good with the bad while they prepare for the final stages of Super Rugby in July.
It was great news for the men from Cape Town to hear that Scarra Ntubeni, centre Dan du Plessis and flanks Rynhardt Elstadt and Steph de Wit will all return to training next week.
Ntubeni who has been sideline for a long time will make his return from an Achilles injury sustained in the Currie Cup last year, whilst Dan Du Plessis was able to avoid undergoing surgery on his shoulder, which he dislocated against the Crusaders in Christchurch earlier this season.
Elstadt has also recovered from a fractured rib and Steph De Wit is back after breaking his ankle in pre-season which was a huge setback for the Stormers.
But with good news comes the bad as well and fly-half Jean-Luc du Plessis will undergo surgery on his hips this week which will rule him out for the rest of the year.
Meanwhile the Stormers Scottish centre Huw Jones’ hamstring is recovering well and he should be available to play in five weeks.
Fly-half Rob du Preez (torn pectoral muscle), lock Jan de Klerk (broken toe) and flank Cobus Wiese (shoulder) are all expected to return in only three months.
