Saturday afternoon sees another big clash the Cell C Sharks host DHL Western Province at JONSSON KINGS PARK.
After a shocking first round defeat against the men from Kimberley Sharks coach Everitt and his men knows how important this match is for them to be able to defend their Currie Cup title.
It could not gone more wrong on the men in black and white as Griquas outplayed them on the night.
The biggest concern for Everitt will be the set pieces which Griquas totally outplayed them. Province who are coming off a win at home against the Blue Bulls showed some pretty impressive play up front and there will be a massive battle on Saturday between last years two finalist.
Everitt did not look for any excuses after the game, “Collectively as a whole, we were poor.” he said to the Sharks website.
A positive for the Sharks from the game was that they created enough chances but errors broke down brilliant chances to score points.
You have to be able to break down defensive systems with ball in hand and go through the phases and the Sharks was unable to do that.
Province beaten the Blue Bulls the same way Griquas did the Sharks, stopping them from creating to much momentum and that is something they will work on for this weeks game against the Sharks.
All is definitely not lost for the Sharks but they really do not want to suffer another loss this weekend at home.
The race can quickly slip away from you as it happened to Free State last year.
