” It was embarrassing” – Erasmus

Some will not find Rassie Erasmus statements after the test as a positive but you have to know the man to understand that he was close to had a 18 L restriction.

It is one of Erasmus big things, fit in or….., the jersey is a previlege, there is no such thing as a bad day at the office you are a professional, do your job.

And defence guru Nienaber is even worst and will be fuming today.

Erasmus made a few statements after the game showing his disappointment..

He was brutally honest in his assessment of the Springboks’ poor performance against Argentina in Mendoza on Saturday,  “It was embarrassing and not the kind of performance you expect to see from the Springboks.”

He added: ” We made only one change to the starting team from last week, when we dominated them.”We have to point the fingers to ourselves, firstly as coaches and then as players, and we will have to fix it.

“We were playing better rugby in the second half but we just didn’t make use of our opportunities. I’m not going to look for positives after a performance like that. We have no excuses, we knew exactly what to expect, we prepared for it but didn’t handle it.”

A huge stepup is required from Erasmus and his players for the next two test is away and against Australia and New Zealand who will be 80% better team than what the Argentinians showed on Saturday.

  1. Suppose we can be too hard on them. The argies played well. It’s disappointing but I don’t think vermeulen is the cure, tho he would be nice to have in the squad. What is beyond me is how JLDP is out – he’d finish off the pack perfectly.

  2. Sooooo

    2017

    Useless Alistair Coetzee

Useless Courtnall Skosan, Andries Coetzee, Jaco Kriel, Elton Jantjes, Marx and Franco Mostert vs Argentina in Argentina…

    Springboks 41
    Arg 23

    #justsaying

  3. Yep Coetzee gave 2 years of backwardness. Enough was enough. Erasmus gonna put himself under exactly same pressure if picking old players and Boks lose.

You`re kidding right? Getting pumped by the 10th ranked test side in the world? Not to worry the politicians are happy.

Poor Whitely having to play on his own in the zone with Kolisi on the wings again (leaking tries) and Louw… well for the second week in a row he simply jogged from ruck to ruck at snail`s pace and by the time he arrived the action had moved on.

The All Blacks (and probably the Wallabies) are going exploit that piss weak back three (including Am) all day long. The AB`s loose-forward quad must be licking their lips.
