Kebble set to join Glasgow Warriors

DHL Stormers prop Oli Kebble will join the Glasgow Warriors at the conclusion of the 2017 season on a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old former Junior Springbok made his DHL Stormers debut in 2014 and has since earned 34 Vodacom Super Rugby caps.

Kebble is contracted to Western Province Rugby until the end of the 2017 season and will head to Scotland once he has concluded his commitments in Cape Town

The move to Glasgow will not be Kebble’s first time in the UK as he previously studied at Dulwich College in London and was part of the London Irish Academy.

Director of Rugby Gert Smal said that Kebble has grown enormously in his time with the Union.

“Oli has come a long way in his time with us and leaves us a rounded player who has a lot to offer,” he said.

Western Province Rugby Group CEO Paul Zacks said that Kebble’s contribution to the Union has been greatly appreciated.

“We are very grateful for Oli’s contribution and we were certainly not going to stand in the way of what is a great opportunity for him to further his career in Scotland,” he said.

President of the Western Province Rugby Football Union, Mr Thelo Wakefield, thanked Kebble for his service to both the DHL Stormers and DHL Western Province.

“Oli Kebble has been a highly committed player in his time here with us and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” he said.

  1. He could not scrum for shit…
He could not run for shit….
    Could not tackle for shit…
He is a walking penalty magnet….
Only reason he was in the team is because his dad is part of the WP Fat Clown Mafia…

Don’t let the door hit you on your way out

  2. @Jacques:

How did his dad and the WP fat clown mafia manage to get him into the championship winning U20 Junior Boks side in 2012?

Oli is not nearly as bad as you make him out to be.

  3. He was not a starter then and his penalty count over the years as a scrumming prop is more than the hits Playboy is getting since they brought back nudity on their front page.
Kitshoff and Maks van Dyk were the starting props, light years ahead of him and stayed light years ahead of him
