Griquas made it looked easy as they scored yet another bonus point win over Boland on Thursday night in Kimberley beating them 46-22.

Still getting used to these midweek games as Griquas and Boland took to the field on Thursday night in Kimberley.

Griquas was first to put points on the board through the boot of Swart in the third minute but it was Boland that was putting on the pressure early on.

Boland had also the early dominance in the scrums and could not convert a penalty into points from a great scrum.

The defense of Boland was in the face of Griquas and was hitting them back in the tackle but it was Griquas who was getting the space as Coertzen broke through and scored their first try.

Griquas looked like they were finding their speed and started to attack from end to end forcing another penalty and stretch the lead after 17 min to 11-0.

Boland kept dominating the scrums and got a penalty which they could convert into points and get on the board.

It was Griquas with the speed of their back three that got their second try after a great drive from their forwards. This took the score to 18-3 after 26 min.

The Boland then started to give away silly penalties first pulling a player down in the lineout and then a neck roll which gave them a yellow card in the very next lineout.

This gave Griquas the opportunity to go over for their third try after 30 min when Watts got pass some pretty ordinary defense.

The last few minutes Griquas had enough opportunities to have scored their 4th try but the passes did not stick.

The two teams went into the break with Griquas leading Boland 25-3 and in control of the match.

It took Griquas not long to score that important bonus try as they kept on dominating the game and Swart with a strong run from lineout over the line.

As good Boland scrums were the whole game as poor were their defense giving Griquas the opportunities to break the line.

The handling from both teams was throughout the game very poor and allot of passes just did not stick.

Griquas got their backline back on track and score another try and Watts second of the match which took the lead to 39-10 after 60 min.

This seemed to have opened the gates for Griquas as they took not long to send Wehr over for yet another try.

Boland turned a mistake on attack from Griquas into a great try which was the second one for them of the match. Boland were able to turn another mistake from Griquas minutes later into their third try of the match.

At the end Griquas was just too good at home from Boland winning the game 46-22.
