The Jaguares came out of Friday and surprise a few when they beat the Hurricanes in their own back yard. They just outplayed the Hurricanes on the day.

The Hurricanes looked like a team on a mission and had the perfect start when Jordie Barrett got a huge gab and it was Vaea Fifita that got over for their first try.

It took the better part of 52 seconds for the home side to score that try and a 5-0 lead.

The Jaguares started to get into the game slowly and worked their way to the Hurricanes line through some penalties.

Jordie Barrett was then send off with a yellow card for knocking the ball deliberately dead. The Jaguares was also awarded a penalty try which gave them lead at 7-5.

The Jaguares found them again five meters out with a linoeut and from a great drive they got over for their second try and a 14-5 lead.

Barrett back after his 10 minutes in the bin quickly reduce that to 14-8 after 28 minutes in the first half.

The Jaguares did not let go of the grip they starting to have on the game. With Hurricanes making mistakes they got back over the line for their third try and a good lead of 21-8 after 34 minutes.

The Hurricanes had a chance in the final minutes of the half to get some more points on the board but could not get over the line, this gave the visitors a 21-8 lead at the break.

The Jaguares stood up to the Hurricanes at the start of the half when they again tried to get points on the board. They did slip at the end to let the Hurricanes through for their second try which was again not converted by Barrett.

As the game went on the Jaguares just got more into it and stood up on defence. They got over the line again to extend the lead to 28-13.

This put them into a great position to take the win.

The Hurricanes got a try after the hooter but that was just too little to late as the Jaguares took the win 28-20. This also took them to the top of the South African conference with that win.
