Only three week suspension for Barrett

Copyright - Steve Haag

All Black Scott Barrett only received a 3 week suspension after he was red carded in the Rugby Championship test against Australia over the weekend.

Barrett hit Wallaby captain Hooper with the shoulder / elbow in the head just before halftime in the test match.

Barrett pleaded guilty and was initially facing a mid-range penalty of six weeks suspension but the SANZAAR foul play review committee reduced it to three weeks only.

Barrett will serve the suspension in the Mitre 10 Cup and be able to plat after 1 September.

To be honest, this seems a bit like a early Christmus present for the Crusaders lock
