Preview – Scotland v Italy

Second match in this weekend opening round of the Six Nations sees Scotland hosting Italy at Murryfield.

With the progress Scotland have shown in the past two years this should be a winning start to their campaign in 2019.

Momentum is crucial at test level and they will be hoping for a good win against the almost ever struggling Italian side.

To think this will be an easy walk through the park will be a huge mistake. Italy will want as much to start the season well specially after another poor season in 2018.

Scotland have won their last six test matches at Murrayfield which makes it that little bit harder for the Italians to cause an upset on Saturday.

With a 17-match losing streak in the Six Nations, the Italians are really struggling to get a win in the competition.

Not take anything away from Scotland but this is maybe the Italians best chance of a win in the Six Nations.

Prediction: At the start of a competition it is most of the time even but Scotland will have enough to take a 15 plus win
