Rassie Erasmus is a man with a plan for this years Rugby Championship.
It may not be everyones cup of tea but then again it is his decisions that will define him not just in the Rugby Championships but also the World Cup later this year in Japan.
Erasmus said a week or so ago that he will split the team for the matches in the Rugby Championship.
On Thursday he revealed to the media that he plan to name a team of fifteen players on Wednesday and they will travel to New Zealand.
After the Aussie test on Saturday the coaches and eight more players will travel and join the fifteen players already there.
Erasmus said that the team already knows how this team will look like that will face the All Blacks and it will be his best team to take on the World Champions.
Erasmus also said that there are about four or five positions where one can say a player is a clear-cit first choice and those players will be in New Zealand.
What does this all mean?
Well it is quit simple, Erasmus will not have his best side facing the Aussies next week in Johannesburg.
Erasmus also admitted that it may be a gamble as he is almost certain that the Aussies will pick their best side possible.
It is not that he has given up on beating the Aussies. ‘We will be working really hard to beat Australia. Post that match, on Saturday evening the coaches plus eight reserves will fly out. The rest of the squad will fly on Sunday and arrive on Tuesday, Erasmus told SARugbyMag
