The Barbarians have announce their squad to take on Gloucester and Argentina in November to end of the international year with a few South African faces in the team.
For some South African players it will a great way to show Springbok coach Meyer that some of them should have form part of the World Cup that just ended in England and for other to show that they are ready to make that step up in the near future.
From the regular faces Reinach and Whiteley are there but players also getting a taste of some Baa-baa’s Rugby are Francois Venter. Other South African in the squad are Lood De jager, Victor Matfield, Bakkies Botha, Pat Lambie and Tendai Mtawarira.
It will be the last time the world will see the “Blood Brothers”, Matfield and Botha playing as Bakkies said that this will be his final match after retiring early this year.
The matches will be played on the 17th against Gloucester and the 21st at Twickenham against the Pumas.
