You do not get any darker days than when your Prime Minister declares your Rugby Union bankrupt and that is just what happened when Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi did just that.

The Prime Minister explained that the union could not afford to pay back the bank debts and also needed funds to pay for the players in the fifteen and sevens squads.

The Samoan public are now being asked to help the countries rugby union out.

Meanwhile the RFU said on Thursday that they will compensate Samoa following the report.

England will host Samoa on the 25th of this month in their third test and according to Sky Sports News, the RFU will help Samoa financially.

This is not the first time England has helped out, last year they helped Fiji whne they toured the UK. They donated £75,000 and they are expected to do the same again this year.

Samoa are set to play Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.
