The Springbok Sevens bounced back from their Cup semi-final loss against Fiji to outplay Kenya 41-7 and claim third place at the Gold Coast Sevens on Sunday morning (SA time). The Fijians successfully defended their tournament title by beating New Zealand 32-14 in the final at Skilled Park.

The Springbok Sevens beat arch rivals New Zealand 31-21 to finish unbeaten and on top of Pool A at the Gold Coast Sevens on Saturday. The Blitzbokke will now face France in the first Cup quarterfinal match on Sunday at Skilled Park, which is scheduled to start at 3:48am (SA time).
