Toyota Cheetahs work hard to beat Sunwolves

The Cheetahs just manage to keep a spirited Sunwolves side out when they beat them on Saturday with 38-31.

It took the Sunwolves the better part of 1 min to get a try and lead in the game and shock the Cheetahs and their supporters.

The Cheetahs struggled to get into the game with the Sunwolves that kept the pressure on them and have the most of the ball and territory.

The Cheetahs did get into Sunwolves half and with the Sunwolves not contesting the lineout, Captain Van Jaarsveld went straight through the ruck to score the Cheetahs first try.

The Cheetahs got a bit of a kick-start from that try and starting to play a must faster game with a brilliant passing game.

The Sunwolves shocked the Cheetahs again with their second try as they kept possession close to the Cheetahs line. This gave them a 14-10 lead.

The Cheetahs hit right back but TMO decided that the ball was lost over the line and the Cheetahs had to take a five-meter scrum for their trouble.

The Cheetahs got that second try not long after when Oupa went over from a perfect pass to give the Cheetahs a 20-14 lead.

The Sunwolves did not give up and forced a penalty just before the break which gave the Cheetahs a 20-17 lead at halftime.

The Cheetahs was first to score in the second half through another penalty but still struggle to control the game from their perspective.

With the Cheetahs on attack they had Swart running the perfect line to score their next try and took the lead to 30-17.

The Sunwolves did not wait long to reply with a brilliant try and reduced the lead to 30-24 after 57 min.

The Sunwolves was the next to score as well and they did it with brilliance cutting through the Cheetahs defense to take the lead 31-30 after 62 min.
