The Waratahs will not be using their Wallabies for their last match this weekend away to the the Highlanders although they still have a SLIGHT chance to make the playoffs.
It is a very long shot but they can still find them inside the top eight after the weekend matches if other teams do them favours but that is very unlikely.
With that in mind the coach will be leaving out Kurtley Beale, Bernard Foley, Michael Hooper, Sekope Kepu and Rob Simmons.
In a World Cup year I think national coach Cheika will be very happy to this as there is no reason to risk your top players in a Super Rugby match which is in all right respects a dead rubber match for them.
This will also give some young talent the chance to show what they are worth at this level as all teams are looking to build for next year.
As a coach it is very difficult to balance wins against building for the next season specially when you now that this is one of those four year cycle where you loos players to Europe and Japan.
