URC Friday Preview- Cardiff take on Connacht, Ulster host Glasgow

There are two more matches on Friday Night with Cardiff taking on Connacht and Ulster taking on Glasgow.

Cardiff will be hosting Connacht in the first round match of the URC on Friday night in Cardiff with Wales Rhys Priestland making his debut for the club.

Although Priestland have been involved in the pre-season warmup games, this will be his official debut for the club after he moved from Bath. He will partner with Lloyd Williams as the halfback pair for the season opener this weekend.

On the bench Cardiff also have the pair of Jarrod Evans and Tomos Williams to make their impact felt later in the match.

The back three sees Lane, Harries and Amos take their spot in the starting lineup with Halaholo and Rey Lee-Lo in the midfield.

In the pack Screech will partner with Deb Davies and Domachowski, Myhill and Arhip will start in the front row.

For Connacht Burke, Delahunt and Bealham will pack down in the front row with Dowling and Dillane in the second row. Their loose trio for this weekends sees Prendergast, Oliver and Butler who will give us a greta fight on the ground.

Jack Carty and Kieran Marmion go the nod to start the game at ten and nine with Farrell and Daly in the midfield. The visitors will have O’Halloran, Porch and Hansen as their back three this Friday.

Ulster will start the season against Glasgow on Friday night in what should be a very exciting matchup. McIlroy will start the match at fullback for the home side with Stockdale and Baloucoune on the wings to complete the back three.

In the midfield James Hume and Stuart McCloskey will man the midfield with Cooney and Burns as the halfback pair.

In the pack Warwick, Roberts and Moore will start in the front row with O’Connor and Carter in the second row. The loose trio for the home side is Jones, Reidy and Timoney.

Forbes, Steyn and Tuipulotu will lineup as the back three for Glasgow. Tuipulotu and Sam Johnson got the nod to start in the midfield with Horne and Weir as the halfback combination.

In the pack Dempsey will start with the number eight on his back with Darge and Wilson joining him as the loose trio for the visitors. Gary and Cummings will be in the second row with Thyer, Matthews and Bergham to start as the front row.

The match will be also live on SuperSport so channel hoping will be necessary to follow this one and Cardiff and Connacht.
