It was a close match at the end and one decision seemed to have been the difference of winning and loosing for the Lions on Saturday when Glasgow beat them 13-9. The Lions had plenty chances but just could not convert that into points.
An early mistake from the Lions taking a man in the air saw Glasgow go for the lineout and from some quick play they got Bhatti over for the first try of the match. Unfortunately it was another poor decision from the referee and TMO as replays showed Bhatti never got over the line.
The Lions answered with a penalty form Viljoen which put them on the board. Glasgow had the better of field position early on and playing a fast game which stretch the Lions defence.
Glasgow kept speeding up the game and forced penalty which Thompson happily kicked over to extend the home side lead to 10-3
The Lions was playing some good rugby in patches and when they got into the Glasgow half they did took their chances to go for points. Viljoen made it a four point game with his second penalty.
Although both side created enough neither could add to their scorers when they went into the break.
The Lions quickly made it a one point game straight after the break with another penalty by Viljoen after high tackle in the middle of the field.
The Lions set piece has been good all day and they started getting rewards form their good scrum. With the rain started to come down both teams struggled to keep hands on the ball and made plenty of errors on attack.
The Lions again had a great opportunity to get ahead but another handling error handed the ball back to Glasgow to exit from their red zone.
Not much separated the two teams in the second half and it was the home side that stretches the lead again with a penalty. The Lions could not get that crucial score and at the end the Warriors took the win but plenty will be talked about that try which should never have been.
