It has been a long road but finally South Africans will have international teams playing in SA when the URC comes to Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg this weekend.

What makes it even more special is that their will be some spectators at the stadiums as well even though it will only be a few but that we are on our way to some kind of normal after two years is a reality now.

The United Rugby Championships resume after the international window closed last weekend with Connacht hosting Ospreys on Friday night to kickstart the season again.

On Saturday we have Benetton versus Glasgow before the DHL Stormers host Zebre at DHL Cape Town Stadium. Both games will kickoff at 15:00 followed by the Sharks welcoming Scarlets to Durban at 17:00.

At 19:40 the Vodacom Bulls have Munster in Pretoria before the day ends with Leinster hosting Ulster at 21:55 on Saturday night.

On Sunday the Lions will end the weekend matches against Cardiff in Johannesburg.

The South African sides had a hard time with their first taste of URC rugby in Europe and will want to do much better at home so we expect them to step it up after a bit of a break and playing at home for the next few weeks.

Here is the current standings:

All the South African sides are at the moment on the bottom half of the log but have a game in hand on the European teams which means they need to pick up points if they want to stay in the hunt. These next couple of weeks will be very important for all of them.

We also will see some of the Springboks back in the sides which will boost the teams. The interpretation of the laws has been the biggest struggle for the SA sides but they have done their home work and called upon experience referees to assist them to be better. That will be vital for them to be better and only way will be adopt of suffer some more.

All the matches will be live on SuperSport so do not miss out this weekend.
