In the pool decider on Friday the Blitzboks was again too good for Great Britian, beatint them 21-7 in their last pool match. This was after they beat Japan and Ireland earlier the day in their other pool matches.
This means the Blitzboks will face Kenya in their quarter final match on Saturday.
The big news of day 1 as that Fiji did not make the quarter finals. This is only the second time in the World Series that the double Olympic Champions could not make the cup quater finals while the South African team have extended their unbeaten run to 21 matches after day 1.
Blitzboks coach, Powell said that their are still plenty for his side to improve if they want to win their second tournament in so many weeks.
