As if things are not bad enough for Australian rugby rumors are circulating that they want to get rid off their Chief Executive Raelene Castle.
The worst part is that the talks are that Phil Kearns may be the person that can replace her.
It seems that senior figures in Australia are working behind the scenes to end Castles’s tenure. It has not been great financially and the outlook looks even worst with the Pandemic putting all sports to their knees.
Castle announced this week that 75% of staff will be stood down for three months without pay and she herself took a 50% pay cut.
It seems that players are also looking at taking a 30 to 50% pay cut, but all off that is still in negotiations.
Time will tell what is going to happen but Kearns is not a fan favorite.
