The EP Elephants founded out playing at franchise level is not going to be easy after the Bulls beat them 87-10 on Sunday at Loftus.
The Elephants was always going to have a hard time agains a Bulls side with confidence at Loftus, but they were able to put first points on the board with a penalty by Inny Radebe.
The Bulls immediately hit back with a maul close to the Elephants line. Van Zyl was at the end of it and gave the Bulls the lead 7-3.
The Elephants defended well but another drive from a line out saw Carr go over for the home side second try and a lead of 14-3 with 15 minutes gone.
The Bulls camped in the Elephants twenty two but hands let them down. Smith extended the lead with a penalty to 17-3.
The Bulls dominated with ball in hand stretching the Elephants from end to end. They score two more tries in before the break with Van Vuuren, Kriel and Carr going over to give the home side a 38-3 lead at halftime.
The second half did not go any better for the Elephants with the Bulls scoring freely and the first one came straight after the restart when Jacobs went over.
That was followed by an Agaba that was at the end of another maul with Jacobs scoring his second soon after.
The Bulls was scoring tries form everywhere. Marnus Potgieter try came from a breakout deep in their own half.
Finally the Elephants was able to convert a rare opportunity close to the bulls line into points when Befile went over for their only try of the match.
The Bulls never let go although they did become a bit loose in the second half. All in all the Bulls scored 12 tries.
