    All Blacks v Wales (Result)



    The All Blacks got the Bronze Medal at the Rugby World Cup in Japan after beating Wales 40-17 on Friday.

    The All Blacks started the game with the Haka as they showed they are going full out to redeem themselves in this test.

    They showed from the start that they going to run the Welsh around the field on the day and although Richie Mo’unga missed his first penalty at goal, it was Moody who ran like a wing after some great passing to get the first points.

    Wales did not stand back and there was no kicking game from Wales as they also were not scared to run at the All Blacks.

    New Zealand got their second try not long after with Barrett snipping through the defence to score under the post. This gave the All Blacks 14-0 lead.

    Wales was starting to get back in the game with the All Blacks giving away some penalties which gave Wales field position. They did manage to get over the All Black line but the ball was held up which gave them a scrum.

    After multiple phases Wales finally got Amos over to get their first try of the match and reduce the All Blacks lead to 14-7.

    The game become much more even with both sides having their moments to score but lack finishing.

    The All Blacks got two more tries in before halftime when Ben Smith showed off his class.

    The first was brilliant running skills showed by the veteran All Blacks as he stepped his way through the Wales defence.

    His second came on the stroke of halftime when he got the ball out wide to run down the line and score in the corner. This gave the All Blacks a 28-10 lead at the break.

    The All Blacks were controlling the game and played in the Welsh half of the field. They broke the Welsh defence with Crotty getting a great pass from Williams for another All Black try.

    It was then the turn of Wales to get a try after a few subs by New Zealand and it was that man Adams again that got over for another World Cup try.

    This took the lead to 35-17 with 20 minutes to go.

    The last try came from an All Black scrum with Richie Mo”unga getting over to extend the lead to 40-17.

    This end the All Blacks with the Bronze Medal at this World Cup ending third with Wales taking the forth spot.
