The Brumbies got their campaign off to a winning start on Saturday when they beat the Rebels 31-23 in Canberra.
They started well and put in a great first half scoring three off their tries in the half to have a 19-6 lead at the break.
It was a great comeback from the Rebels in the second half but just not enough to unsettle a Brumbies side who had a great Super Rugby season before it was suspended.
It was the Brumbies that opened the scoring with Muirhead getting over the line from a pass by Faina’a.
A few penalties from both sides saw the scoreboard ticking over till Fainga’a got over for the home side to give them a 19-6 lead at halftime.
Wright was over for the home side after the break to extend their lead before the Rebels started their comeback. First it was Uelese over the line before Haylett-Petty got over.
Although the Rebels crept back at the Brumbies it was Miller’s try that secured the win for the home side.

Rebels 23 (6) Tries: Jordan Uelese, Dane Haylett-Petty Conversions: Matt Toomua (2) Penalties: Toomua (3)
