    Bulls 41(17) v Sharks 14(9)

The Bulls showed glimpses of what they can do in two weeks prior and on Saturday they got the start they wanted and build on that to beat the Sharks 41-14.

The Bulls outscored the Sharks with six tries to one.

It was a quick start from both teams as they tried to get the early advantage but defensive systems from both sides held nicely.

Steyn had a chance to get the first points of the match but missed with his kick to the right after just eight minutes into the game.

It was Bosch with his boot that put the first points on the board and an early 3-0 lead for the Sharks.

The Bulls had a few opportunities to kick for points but decided to go for the lineout twice and the Sharks were able to stop it and turned the ball around.

From a penalty Morne Steyn even it up on the scoreboard with 19 minutes gone on the scoreboard. That was quickly cancelled when Bosch kicked his second penalty of the night.

The Bulls started to find their feet with ball in hand and it was some great step by Gans that saw the first try of the match and the Bulls taking a 10-6 lead.

It took not long for them to get their second as van Staden got over after another break to take the lead to 17-6. Bosch kicked a penalty just before the break to make the halftime score 17-9 for the Bulls.

The Bulls hit early in the second half to extend their lead to 24-9 after a perfect drive from the lineout saw Van Staden going over for his second try of the match

The Sharks got their first try from some sustain pressure on the Bulls line and eventually got Richardson over for their first of the night.

The Bulls answered back immediately, with some death touch by Steyn with the boot, which Arendse picked up beautifully and offloaded in the tackle to Gans to score his second of the night.

As the rain came down it was all the Bulls as they camped down in the Sharks twenty two.

The Bulls still had two more tries in them and after sustain pressure from a few scrums the Bulls got the ball out wide and Marco Jansen van Vuren was the man over for their 5th try.

The last try came from Papier who got his hands on the ball after a mistake from the Sharks and ran over for the last try of the match

Bulls: Tries – Gans(2), Van Staden(2), Marco Jansen van Vuren, Embrose Papier Conversions – Morne Steyn (4) Penalties – Morne Steyn
