With the Shark adopting a more kicking game to start off with, the Bulls counter with some great running lines.
They were first to score after the Sharks lost Ward to the bin for a high shot. It was Erasmus at the end of it which gave the Bulls a 7-0 lead.
They were quick to get their second try when a box kick got into the hands of Gans to put the ball down under the sticks. The third came from a turnover in their own half when Arendse showed us his sevens skills to stretch the Bulls lead to 21-0.
The Bulls kept ball in hands and still kept their momentum even after the Sharks had a few changes in their twenty two. It was these great hands that gave Arendse his second try of the afternoon to stretch the lead to 28-0.
The Bulls got another again through some basic backline play moving the ball to the wing for Ismaiel to get his first try of the match.
This gave the Bulls a 35-0 lead.
The Sharks got a few penalties at the end of the half and it was Williams that got over for the visitors to get their first try.
The Bulls kept their pressure on the Sharks at the start of the second half keeping them pin in their twenty two but defence was good enough to keep them out.
The Sharks started to get more ball in hand and worked their way to the Bulls twenty two. After a double turnover it was Louw that scored the Sharks second try.
This reduced the lead to 35-14.
The Bulls did get one back through Kriel out wide, but it was two tries from the Sharks that looked the fitter team of the two. The Sharks reduced the lead to 42-28 wit the two quick tries from Jooste and Hendrikse.
It was all Sharks but the Bulls found the ball in hands and again with great hands and lines running at the gabs they got over for another try to take the score to 49-28.
That secured Jake White first win as Bulls coach and the best start or is it restart the Bulls could asked for.
