    One can only admire the class of the Crusaders as they came from a 11-10 halftime lead to put the Chiefs away in the second half to win 39-17.

    They looked in total control of most of the match and as they have done so many times took the mistakes and poor discipline of the Chiefs and turned it into points.

    The Chiefs was early out of the blocks and had the first try of the match when Damian McKenzie went over to give the Chiefs a 7-0 lead.

    McKenzie added another three points with the boot to make it 10-0 with the Crusaders having to play catchup.

    The Crusaders scrum had the upper hand and their first points came with a try from Fainga’anuku to reduce the score to 10-5.

    Mistakes from the Chiefs started mount up and the Crusaders was happy to eat away at the lead with the boot of Mo’unga who quick made it 10-8.

    Another penalty soon there after saw Mo’unga giving the home side the lead 11-10 and that is the score the teams went into the break as well.

    The Crusaders came out all guns blazing in the second half putting the Chiefs under enormous pressure. The Chiefs got a double blow when they got a penalty try against them and saw Weber going to the bin.

    That made the score 18-10.

    Will Jordan back in the starting XV was next to score for the home side when Mo’unga gets through the gab and send Jordan over. With the conversion over the Crusaders stretch the lead to 25-10.

    The tries just keep coming fort he champions and next over the line was Douglas after they put phase on phase together which the Chiefs had no answer too.

    Mo’unga kicked the conversion to take the lead to 32-10.

    Dunshea was next to cross the whitewash for the Crusaders to extend their lead to 39-10 after Burke conversion.

    The Chiefs got a consolation try when Nanai-Seturo got over with McKenzie converting to give to Crusaders a 39-17 win.
