    The scoreline may not suggest it but this match had everything from lights going out to a red card but at the end after observing sustain pressure n that final quarter the Rebels came out winners with 10-7.

    The Rebels outscore the Force by 2 tries to 1 and at the end that made the difference.

    The Rebels had the early advantage in the set pieces and had the first opportunity to score the first try but came up short. McIntyre had the first shot at goal but missed out to the right.

    The points came from the visitors when Lancie Anderson score the first try of the match after the Rebels showed patience on attack creating and overlap for Anderson to get over.

    The conversion was missed and the Rebels led by 5-0.

    The Force hd another opportunity just before halftime when they got a penalty to setup a line out but was unable to secure the possession.

    The teams went into the break with the Rebels leading 5-0.

    The Force had the momentum at the end of the first half and started the second half well putting pressure on the Rebels. They got a penalty early on and decided not to go for three points and set up a line out, which came to nothing.

    The Rebels also had an early opportunity with a penalty which Toomua missed.

    The Rebels was again the first to score in the second half with a try by Joe Powell after Korobeite broke the defence to put Powell away.

    The conversion was again missed and the Rebels led by 10-0.

    Finally the Force got their points on the board with a try from McGregor. It was a loose ball that ended up in McGregor’s hands to get over in the corner.

    With Prior conversion over the lead was reduced to 10-7.

    Just after the Force try the Rebels was struck with another blow after the referee went upstairs to check foul play. Replays showed Haylett-Petty-Petty with a clear dangerous high tackle which earned him and the Rebels a red card.

    The last quarter was just the Force attacking and the Rebels defending with 14-men as best they could but the Rebels was up to the task and kept the Force out to take the win.
