    Recap

It was really all Ireland in this match as England just could not handle the Irish attack, defence and the scoreboard pressure. Ireland was just too good for this England side who looked poor in all aspects of the match.

One had the sense as early as halfway through the first half that England will never win this match as Ireland gave CJ Stander the perfect send-off in his last test match for Ireland.

It was a tight start to the match as we expected with both side having early opportunities and testing defensive systems but it was Farrell that gave England an early lead with a penalty kick.

It was tight fair early on with both teams testing each other out. Ireland did manage to get in England half and forced a penalty which Sexton kicked over to level things up 3-all.

The fist try was something special and surely one of the tries of the tournament when Eals got the perfect pass from a line out to sprint through the English defence.

Sexton convert and gave Ireland a 10-3. England immediately replied with a Farrell penalty to reduce the lead again to only 4 points.

England struggled a bit in the scrums and gave another kickable penalty away which Sexton had no problem slotting over to extend Ireland lead to 7 again.

It was another brilliant try from Ireland with almost every player having a hand in the try stretching England defence with Jack Conan the man over.

This gave Ireland a handy 20-9 lead at halftime.

England came out in the second half with a kicking gameplay trying to unsettle Ireland defence but gave just too many penalties away to make it work.

Ireland almost scored another brilliant try with Sexton cross-kick which Earls brilliant took out of air but an early knock take them back for a penalty which Sexton knocked over for a 23-6 lead.

England changed things up and even went for a scrum but everything they threw at Ireland, Ireland just dominated it as well as the scrums which gave them another penalty which Sexton slot over yet again.

This gave Ireland a 20 point lead.

Ireland went down to 14 men after TMO came in on Bundee Aki tackle on Billy Vunipola. The men were going in at the same hight but according to World Rugby guidelines referee hand no choice but to send Aki off with a red card.

England immediately took advantage of the extra man when Youngs went to the blind from a scrum to score for England. That reduced the lead of Ireland to 26-11.

England kept on giving away penalties and Sexton was happy to slot them over as the captain extend the Irish lead to 32-11.

Ireland saw Murray also send off with a yellow card when England was close to their line which again gave England a chance to run the ball wide with the extra man out-wide. This time it was May that went over in the corner.

Ireland finished the game well and stop England scoring again taking memorable 32-18 win.
