Recap
Ireland made small work of Italy on Saturday when they beat them 48-10. It was by no ways perfect but they played much better as a unit got six tries against an Italian side who defended well.
One would like to say that Italy has been improving but nothing has really changed for the side as teams still put plenty of points against them.
Italy was first on the board with a penalty from Paolo Garbisi but it was countered by Sexton two minutes later.
The first try of the match came from Ringrose who picked a great line between two defenders to score. That gave Ireland a 10-3 lead.
Ireland was doing all the attack but some desperate defence from Italy kept them out.Sexton slotted a penalty to extend the lead again for Ireland.
The second try came from a great pass by Sexton to Ringrose who then offloaded to Keenan who found space to score.
Ireland got another when Sexton took on the defence to slip a pass to Larmour who the got his pass away to Connors to get over.
Italy got there first and only try just before halftime when Johan Meyer got the ball from Garbisi who ran between two defenders.
This made the halftime score 27-10.
It took not long for Ireland to extend their lead in the second half with CJ Stander got over from a line drive.
