Almost looked like boys versus men at the end with the Hurricanes running away with it against the Sunwolves beating them 62-15.
Scoring 10 tries to the two of the Sunwolves tells the story of the day. The quality of the Hurricanes attack was impressive but one must say the Sunwolves were woeful in defence.
The Sunwolves took the lead early on with a try by Michael Stolberg but once the Hurricanes started to bring their backs in play they were just unstoppable.
At the break the Hurricanes led by 28-10.
The Hurricanes started the second half like a runaway train scoring three tries within 5 minutes through Ben Lam, TJ Perenara and Gareth Evans to take their lead to 45-10.
The Hurricanes were loving the open play they were allowed by teh Sunwolves. Van Wyk got his hat-trick on debut before Laumape went over for his first try of the match.
The Sunwolves, when hey do had the ball in hand wanted to play and were rewarded with a try from Siosaia Fifita.
