The Sharks powered passed the Pumas showing their strength in their pack, beating the Pumas 42-19.
The Sharks led from the start and never really looked like loosing with the Pumas just making too many mistakes on attack. Their handling was really poor in this match and Stonehouse will not be happy the way his troops handling this game.
The Sharks started the game well keeping the ball in hand and with continuity going they send Libbok over for the first try and a 7-0 lead for the visitors.
Both sides tried to get the territory with their kicking game but it went nowhere fast when Madosh Tambwe found plenty of space and with his speed got over for the Sharks second try of the match.
The Pumas kept giving away penalties which the Sharks happily kicked for the lineout in the corner and after the second bite Jooste was at the end of a perfect drive for the Sharks third try.
This gave the Sharks a 21-0 lead after only 20 minutes.
The Pumas finally got in the Sharks twenty two and forced a lineout five meters out from which they setup a drive which Kleinhans broke free and dived over for the host first try of the match.
The Sharks got their bonus point try just before halftime when Bosch send teh ball out wide and Nkosi powered over the line.
This gave the Sharks a 28-7 lead at the break.
The second half struggled to get going with both sides trying to keep ball in hands but handling errors and some ordinary decision making on attack came to nothing.
Finally the Pumas came right with some good running lines to open the Sharks defence up to get Cronje over for the first points of the second half.
The Sharks got a yellow card after being on a warning from the referee which gave the Pumas an extra man but handling let them down when it matters.
The Sharks got their second half try when they setup another attacking lineout and drove over the line with Van Vuuren at the end of that.
That gave them a 35-14 lead after 69 minutes
The Pumas hit back with some quick hands and a brilliant pass to send Cronje over in the corner.
The Sharks had one more try in them with another drive from a lineout and Van Vuuren again at the end of that drive for his second try of the match.
The Sharks was just too strong for the Pumas
