    Stormers v Sharks

It was a case of the Stormers only having themselves to blame after leading 17-0 at one stage in the game.

Poor discipline which co-inside with red and yellow cards cost the Stormers and let the Sharks back in the game.

Although they had a chance to steal it at the end the Sharks held on for a 33-30 win at Cape Town Stadium

It was great start from the Stormers taking the lead early with a penalty kick. This was followed up by a great break by Nel who got the pass away and saw Jantjies going over for the first try of the match.

That gave the Stormers a 10-0 lead.

The Stormers defence was good early on and from a turnover, Kade Wolhuter stepped pass the big menn to send Pretorius over for the Stormers second try.

With a lead of 17-0 the Sharks had it all to do with only 12 minutes gone in the match.

The Stormers then saw Senatla going off with a red card for playing the player in the air. With the new rules the Stormers would be able to replace Senatla but his game was over after just 13 minutes.

Willie Engelbrecht got a yellow card a minute later for a high tackle which left the Stormers with 13 men on the field.

Thomas du Toit came off the lineout to score for the Sharks their first try of the match. This was after some sustain pressure from the visitors.

With the Stormers taking another turnover it was Kade Wolhuter that kicked another penalty to extend their lead again.

One felt the Sharks was trying to hard to take advantage of the 13 men and made simple mistakes which gave Kade Wolhuter another kick at the poles to extend the Stormers lead again.

The Sharks did get one back just before halftime but Bosch was unable to convert which sends the team into the break with the Stormers leading 23-14.

The Stormers put huge pressure on the Sharks at the start of the second half, pinning them down in the twenty two but a breakout saw the Sharks put the ball through the hands and force a penalty in the Stormers half.

The Sharks played quickly from a penalty to send Hugo over for the Sharks first try of the second half. The Stormers got a double blow as a TMO referral saw Willie Engelbrecht get another yellow card which change to a red card which again left them a man short.

With the Sharks having all the momentum and taking advantage of the extra man this time, it was again Hugo that went over for his second after getting into space.

That gave the Sharks the lead for the first time of the match 26-23.

The Sharks speeding up the game saw them again with quick lineout and another try from Hugo making it his third of the match.

Within minutes the Sharks went from 23-14 down to 33-23 in the lead.

The Stormers had a good period in the Sharks half but just could not get over with the Sharks defence on par.

The Stormers still on attack saw the Sharks getting a yellow card for repeated infringement. The Stormers kept in the Sharks half and finally got Willemse over to make it a three point game.

With minutes left the Stormers had the opportunity to take the win but Nel just could not get the ball down for the try leaving the  Sharks to take the win at Cape Town Stadium.
